This is an excellent surprise. Frank Hennessy, the DJ on BBC Radio Wales's Celtic Heartbeat show, very kindly put us on the playlist over the weekend. He spoke very kindly of us too:
" Really impressed with that- very, very high quality indeed. It's a duo I've not come across before- they're called Sandtimer and they record for Folkstock Records, who, as you might imagine, specialise in singer-songwriting and acoustic music. And I received that track just a few days ago- 'If I Were A River'- and I really enjoyed it, I thought it was well-performed and beautifully produced. " A musician couldn't ask for more than that- thanks so much for the kind words Frank. Pinch punch, first day of the month everybody.
Here are some September dates for you! We're particularly looking forward to the two festivals, being shameless denialists about summer ending and, as a result, unconsciously latching onto these events as emblems of the summer that has just passed (given that festivals are typically associated with summer). September 2nd : Starry, Starry Nights @ The Star By Hackney Downs, London September 5th : Weyfest, The Rustic Stage September 6th : The Islington, Lahondan September 13th : Balstock Festival, Hertfordshire (http://www.balstock.com) Hopefully see you at one of them |
